Recoup Thermosleeve + BOA® Fit System Integration
In designing the Thermosleeve, Recoup partnered with BOA® Technology, revolutionizing heat recovery and activation methods. Together we created a solution unlike any other heatable compression product on the market. The integration of the BOA® Fit System allows the Thermosleeve wearer to dial in the perfect fit, with otherwise unattainable customized compression. The three integral BOA components - a micro-adjustable dial, super-strong lightweight laces, and low friction lace guides - are configured and engineered to optimize your fit, providing the stability of a brace with the benefits of compression.
Why Infrared Heat?
By increasing the temperature of the skin/soft tissue, the blood flow increases naturally as the blood vessels relax, opening up wider than before. As the blood flow increases, so does the muscle elasticity, creating a higher metabolic rate. As the body flushes out metabolic waste, the blood cells fill that waste with oxygen, creating oxygen rich blood cells for a more effective recovery.
While ordinary heat therapy is effective at loosening tight muscles near the surface of the skin, infrared heat penetrates the deep tissue. These inner muscle fibers are rarely treated, increasing the risk of reinjury. Treating the deeper tissue is key for faster recovery while decreasing the risk of reinjury.

Thermo compression is a combination of thermotherapy and dynamic compression, used for the treatment of pain and stiffness after minor to acute injury or surgery. The Recoup Fitness Thermosleeve effectively reduces pain and tension in arms and legs without sacrificing mobility. It can be easily incorporated into any heat-therapy rehabilitation or recovery routine.
- Thermo compression causes the diameter of your blood vessels to increase. This results in increased blood flow, which helps to reduce stiffness and soreness.
- Infrared heat with compression is significantly warmer than a heating pad, alone, due to improved skin contact and increased tissue density, resulting in faster and longer lasting recovery.
Turn the batter on, by pushing the battery once. Connect the battery to the USB port located on the back of the Thermosleeve. Once connected, place the battery in the pouch. Hold the R button for three seconds.
Hold the R button for 3 seconds to turn off the Thermosleeve. Remove the battery from the pocket, disconnect it from the USB cord. The battery will turn off after 8 seconds if it is not connected. If the battery does not turn off, push the button twice, located on the battery.
Once the Thermosleeve is on, it defaults to the lowest temp. Press the R to select a temperature.Low is Blue, Green is Medium, Red is High. As a reminder, the thermosleeve uses infrared heat, meaning it will not get extremely but is warming up the deep tissue.
The Thermosleeve can be used before a workout, warming up muscles, post workout when using contrast therapy, on sore ache muscles throughout the day.
My 12 year old boys has osgood schlatter so bad you cant hardly touch his knee and we tried a ton of different things. It is football season and when we get done with the game and the adrenalin wears off he can hardly walk. We purchased the hot and cold model of the sleeve. We started doing an alternate hot to cold every 20 minutes every night after practice. After 2 weeks he keeps forgetting his little knee bands because it feels so much better. It's obviously not healed but sure makes it beatable. Not sure everyone will have the same effect but definitely worth the try.
Love the recoup products. Unfortunately the thermosleeve doesn’t get very warm. I understand there are likely limits (legal, battery size, etc.) to the max heat it can output, but dang, not very warm. I purposely am not using the term ‘hot’ as the sleeve only gets moderately warm. I will wear it before adding any sleeves to my knee before snowboarding or backpacking, which should help but for the price I was hoping for more. I have other heating products and they definitely get much warmer. I still like the recoup’s ability to fit snug, which is why I will use this more than my other products, but if I’m home and needing to warm up the knee, will likely use my older devices that produce more heat.
Thank you for your review! The Thermosleeve uses infrared heat compared to electrical heat. Infrared warms up the deep muscle tissue instead of the skin. Infrared does not feel as warm as your typical heating pad as they use electric heat, which heats the skin and not the muscle.
Your review is beneficial to us! We need to ensure our customers know we are using this advanced heating method and the benefits while informing customers that it does get as hot as a typical heating pad.
I love the adjustable of the sleeves and the infra red features. It’s soothing and healing!
I realize this is the beta version of the product so I know there are some flaws that are being Addressed. I really like the product but my two suggestions would be to make it hotter and for the heat to be truly 360° When you put on the leg sleeve you feel the heat on your hamstring but not so much your quads.
It’s amazing how the BOA system locks down the compression fit for me. Although the infrared system doesn’t seem to be as hot, it actually is. The key is that the heat penetrates much much deeper. It comes with a battery and it seems to me that you could easily replace it with a battery with more capacity so the heat could last even longer. It’s just a thought; and besides, the battery lasts long enough for me anyways. The compression fit is a revelation, and I am very happy!
