“After a hard day at work, I put the Cryosleeve on, lay back and enjoy the best ice therapy EVER. No mess, easy to use and comfortable. I suffered several knee injuries from playing basketball and use ice to reduce swelling and pain. You have to get creative to make sure the ice pack stays on your leg. Not with Cryosleeve! You simply slide it on, use the BOA device to conform the Cryosleeve to your leg and enjoy HEAVEN. Thank you Cryosleeve” - Richard Steen

Cold compression is a combination of cryotherapy and static compression, used for the treatment of pain and inflammation after minor to acute injury or surgery. The Recoup Fitness Cryosleeve effectively reduces pain and swelling in arms and legs without sacrificing mobility. It can be easily incorporated into any cold-therapy rehabilitation or recovery routine.
- Cold compression causes vasoconstriction, in which the diameter of your blood vessels decreases. This results in reduced blood flow, which helps prevent inflammation and thereby reduces stiffness and soreness.
- Cold with compression is significantly colder than ice alone due to improved skin contact and increased tissue density, resulting in faster cooling and longer lasting aftereffects.
After placing in the freezer for two hours, slide and adjust the Cryosleeve above, at or below knees and elbows to relieve soreness and inflammation resulting from or related to:
- ACL/MCL/ligament tears
- tennis/golfer’s elbow
- general knee and elbow joint pain
- shin splints
- calf pulls
- carpal tunnel
- general muscle overuse and/or tightness
- physical therapy
- surgeries and more...
HOW TO RECOUP: THE R.I.C.E. METHOD
Relieve pain and swelling and promote healing and flexibility with RICE—Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation.
Rest. Rest and protect the injured or sore area. Stop, change, or take a break from any activity that may be causing your pain or soreness.
Ice. Cold will reduce pain and swelling. Use your Cryosleeve right away to prevent or minimize swelling. Treat the affected area for 10-20 minutes 3 or more times a day.
Compression. Tighten your Cryosleeve using the BOA® Fit System dials to help decrease swelling. Adjust to your comfort level; too tight can cause more swelling below the affected area.
Elevation. Elevate the injured or sore area on pillows while applying cold treatment and anytime you are sitting or lying down.
Works for well over an hour. Fantastic product
The recoup cold therapy:compression sleeve is amazing. Only recommendation I would say is order a size up because I have a difficult time putting the medium on and I went off the websites recommended measurements.
Excellent product! I use almost daily as part of my recovery/maintenance routine
Condition: emerging osteoarthritis in my left knee
I’ve been a distance runner for about 40 years and unfortunately it may be over. Late 2020 my left knee began to hurt (sharp pains at times, even when sleeping) and then swell. The first time I tried everything, resting it, cold treatments, but the swelling didn’t leave. I finally visited the doctor who drained my knee and gave me a cortisone shot. Life was great again. I started running and exercising like normal. That lasted about 3 months and my knee swelled again. I tried to get the swelling to go down, but I had to go back to the doctor for another shot. This time I also did an MRI and that’s when I discovered that I have osteoarthritis in that knee. I was told that I need to be “proactive” in treating my knee, with the focus on cold and warm treatments. After my first experiences in trying to apply cold treatments I knew I needed something that 1) worked and 2) would last. My search brought me to the Recoup Cryosleve and this review. After using the cold for a couple of months now, and the warm for about 3 weeks I’m ready to share my experience and impressions. (I also bought the Thermosleeve and will submit a review there too)
First impression – the build quality is exceptional. This thing looks to last for a long time! I love the draw tighteners (BOA Fit System). It is the fastest, most simple way to tighten them up quickly and appropriately. They’ve worked every time, no slipping, and a simple, easy release. You put this on in seconds, and it compresses evenly around your entire knee.
It works! It’s left in the freezer every day and I just grab it and wear if for 20 minutes, then put it back. It cools my entire knee – front, sides, back, and it gets cold. It’s uncomfortable at first (like every cold treatment) but I quickly adjust and don’t feel it anymore. I don’t think you could really walk much in it. That probably depends on your leg and how it tightens, but on my leg it would slip down if I walked in it.
Sizing. My leg was right at the limit for two sizes. I bought the larger size and it works, but I need to draw in a lot to get it tight. It works just fine, but wonder if I should have bought the smaller one?
Overall: I’m glad I bought it. I know it costs a lot more than others but this will last, and I need it to last. It works, saves time as it’s effective and simple, So far NO knee pain or swelling. I highly recommend this if you’re in the same situation and looking for an effective and durable solution.
